It is a scam in less your local police advise in newspaper as they have to when auctioning off opeoples cars. They are as is and might not drive but for 5 or 100,000 mies, Usally big one held twice a year.Government possessed cars for sale CHEAP? Where to buy this?
Government car auctions and repo auctions are two different things. Governments sell surplus and seized cars, banks and finance companies sell repossessed cars. Here's more about it:

.
government cars are usually okay but like all cars you can find a lemon.Repossessed cars are the ones to stay away from . Let car dealerships buy them. Most cars at auctions are ex government or ex rentals anyway.

Try govdeals.com there are no fees
don't subscribe to a site....contact your local sheriff department [if in US], and get on their list for auctions. Some have websites and they are always free...Usually a bid type auction similar to Ebay, and you can get a sweet deal [might have to patch a bullet hole in some though]
