Concept cars can not be sold as road worthy machines. They are not inspected the same as retail units. From a legal stand point, if Ford for instance were to sell a prototype F250 and the car has a mechanic problem, the purchaser would sure Ford for selling a faulty and unsafe truck.
I have tried to buy a few, including the Harley Edition F250 Ford used on a road tour a couple years ago. Unfortunately, they destroy the vehicles completely, including the rims, tires, and radio. Good luck and great question. Are the concept cars for sale? Where can I buy one?
NO. These are just concepts, and not actual production cars. These are a way of letting manufacturers test out different designs and ideas before going into production. ANd like the other guy said, they would not be reliable or easy to insure becuase they are just concepts and havent been through all the safety or smog testing that a regular car would.
Even if they did sell these cars, since they are built in a very very limited edition, and have things in them that no other car in the world has, they would be outragousely priced.
I bet a concept Civic would cost around 400,000 dollars! Are the concept cars for sale? Where can I buy one?
FROM ALL THAT I HAVE READ CONCERT VEHICLE ARE NOT FOR SALE DUE TO LIABILITY AND INSURANCE REASONS.
ALSO I READ THAT MOST OF US COULD NOT AFFORD THEM.
