Because the police have favorite people who buy all the cars. Any left are no good. You will not get a good deal from an impound towing company. They know what the car is worth. If it a good car the owner will pick it up. In rare cases an apartment co. will impound a car thats owner has been jailed or has left it for some other reason. Then you may find a good car but you will not get a deal. Either a regular dealer will buy it or the impound co. owner will keep it.Why it is so hard to find Police impound cars for sale?

In most states you have to go to the impound lot and set up an account with the police department. or you can do it online. Most classified ads will have a police impound ad in the car section.
