Buy the car you want, then take it back to Portugal and prepare the paperwork there to register it in Portugal.

If a car is in the UK long enough to be sold on, it would surely have to have been registered wih the DVLA here as it would be liable for road tax etc. Therefore, I would expect that any car you buy would have UK plates on...
I don't think there are many up for sale here, they are still being driven, along with the others, Lithuanian, Polish etc.so does that mean that they are not insured?????
